Job Description:
* Provide Level 3 support for escalated issues, including on-site support for VIP users
* Resolve issues and act as primary technical interface to vendors
* Implement changes and follow procedures based on ITIL processes for incident, change, problem and release management
* Manage systems within the infrastructure proactively
* Engage Tier 3 team based on requirement. Adhere to proper escalation policies, keeping severity levels accurate and management aware of high priority issues.
Follow correct troubleshooting guidelines to ensure proper and timely resolution
* Analyze and recommend changes to the infrastructure and vendor systems based on current and potential issues
* Be involved in reviewing and improving our global processes and systems
* Ensure documentation of issues resolved and education of L2 and L1 team members
* Support senior IT team with sales process
* Act as primary support for new client implementations
* Act as backup for L2 from helpdesk perspective if shift pattern requires it
* Act as backup for IT Site Manager where appropriate
* Have good knowledge of IT ROI
* Carry the ability to look at new technologies and toolsets and make proactive recommendations
Technical Skills Required:
Candidate should be an expert in at least one of the areas below, and have good experience in the other two:
* Excellent hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Call Manager
* Design/Implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco Unified Communication
* Good knowledge of implementation of Cisco Unity Express
* Skills & knowledge in working with Cisco IPT Unity Connections (Voice Mail), CME (Call Manager Express) & CUE (Cisco Unity Express)
* Experience in LAN/WAN Networking, specifically on Cisco Platform, and to some extent in Extreme LAN technology. Design expertise in VoIP networks of Cisco, Avaya, Nortel Passport and IPUnity
* Maintenance and troubleshooting of Cisco Telepresence devices, including Codec, Telepresence Multipoint Switch, Telepresence Manager, IP Phones etc.
* Maintenance of WAN Network for customers, ensuring proper QoS settings for voice and video
* Coordination with different Service Providers for WAN connectivity
* Coordination with Cisco TAC for escalated issues and perform troubleshooting with TAC engineers
Network
* Manage the internal and external network, including configuration and management, routing protocols, VPN Management, Tunneling protocols
* Manage MPLS/leased line connectivity locally/remotely
* Troubleshoot complex network systems, Router configuration, firewall-related issues and deliver SME support
* Good working experience in LAN, WAN, Router, Switch (7500/7200, 3800, 3600, 2600) with trouble shooting skills
* Attend Priority 1 bridges and troubleshoot problems that involve trade-offs between cost-containment and timeliness of service
* Utilize the current monitoring platform to diagnose alarm events as they come in, determine initial troubleshooting steps based on the specific alarm event received. Based on initial findings, determine the next steps to be taken to resolve the issue
* Sound knowledge of routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
* Good knowledge of IPSec, load balancer
* Experience in managing VPN & Security through PIX /ASA firewalls
Systems
* Windows - Windows Server 2008/ 2003, Remote management, Clustering, DNS
* Backup – VeritasNetbackup 6.5 / Backup Exec
* Applications – Exchange 2007, SharePoint, SCCM, Citrix
* Virtualization – VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V
* Antivirus – McAfee ePO 4.5, Symantec Endpoint protection
* Good with Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008; Server Cluster and NLB Administration
* Good with IIS - WEB, FTP, Certificate Administration; Memory Dump Analysis
* Knowledge of Server Performance analysis; WSUS administration; Good troubleshooting skills in Windows in a large infrastructure; Working knowledge of Active Directory; Experience in Server Commission/Decommission
* Working knowledge of VMware ESX product; VERITAS Net backup knowledge; Knowledge of SAN and Networking; Terminal server
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required:
* 6 to 8 years of overall relevant IT experience
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities, work under time constraints and meet deadlines
* Independent worker, seen as a leader/expert within the company
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
* Must be able to interact and facilitate effectively within all levels of the company
* Excellent organizational and computer skills are required, as well as an understanding of metrics analysis
* Strong problem solving tools and techniques are required
* Must be able to develop trust in people and be willing to smoothen relationships and advise and assist others
* Make decisions in a timely and appropriate manner while ensuring that others follow similar principles
* Experience in IT service management methodologies, concepts and technologies, including tools required
* Experience in multinational, multi-cultural and multi-lingual environments
Education & Certifications Required:
* Bachelor Degree in Science/Arts/Computer Science (Must) or MCA (Desired)
* Should be CCNA / MCSE-certified (Anyone)
* ITIL awareness is must
