Position Vacant: Sr PHP Developer
Responsibilities:
- Work with the KTPL team on new e-commerce projects from core business analysis phase through implementation and deployment of the completed project.
- Web-application maintenance / Database architecture design.
- Developing programmatic code/snippet from scratch or by adapting existing web-application graphics and software to meet business requirements.
- Testing the web-application and identifying any technical problems and glitches.
- Manage and maintain best practices around code discipline, documentation and maintenance of various applications including their functions, features and supporting systems.
Requirements:
- 1.5+ years of PHP experience, including experience building object-oriented web-application using PHP v5.x.x.
- Familiarity with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern, and previous experience developing web applications using this pattern or on existing MVC frameworks.
- Profound experience interacting with MySQL database systems through abstraction layer, in addition to the ability to write raw SQL queries.
- Experience working with a code repository and version control system such as SVN / CVS.
- Frontend development experience with strong JavaScript skills (including frameworks/libraries such as Prototype & jQuery) as well as familiarity with accepted CSS and HTML markup standards.
- Strong people and project management skills with the ability to function as a technical leader as well as an individual contributor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passionate about technology with a sharp attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Magento Commerce development best practices, including design integration, extending existing functionality, creating custom modules, and working with APIs.
- Experience with ZEND Framework.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of JSON, AJAX and PHP design patterns.
- Experience with standard business applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Comfortable researching and adopting new web technologies.
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and web analytics suites.
